CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Chula Vista police were on the lookout for a man and woman who attempted to pawn a middle school girl’s $500 flute taken from her mother’s minivan, which was stolen but recovered the same day.
The 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan that contained the brass-colored Yamaha flute was stolen from 706 F St. sometime on the night of Oct. 25, according to a Chula Vista police statement. The van was found, but the Chula Vista Middle School student’s flute was gone.
